About us

   Jane

Hi, my name is Jane. I started Ponteland Pampered Pooch 10 years ago. What a fantastic time I have had! Meeting so many beautiful dogs and getting to know all their funny little ways!

The business has gone from strength to strength with more people wanting special care for their precious dogs.

I am very happy that my daughter Becky is now joining me at Pampered Pooch. This will enable us to offer more care for your dogs...and double the FUN!

   Becky

Hi, my name is Becky. I'm 28 and a qualified nurse. I've worked at the Freeman Hospital in cardiology for the last 3 years.

I've always been involved in my mum's business, and loved every minute of getting to know all the gorgeous dogs.

We are a family of dog lovers and I grew up with our adorable (and naughty!) cocker spaniels, Jack and Ross.

I've made the decision to leave nursing and start having a much more active role in the business. Woohoo!

What we offer

Walks, Daycare and Stays

On a typical day at pampered pooch, we take the dogs to our field. This is just 5 minutes outside of Ponteland. The field is a secure and safe place for the dogs to socialise and play. We have lots of toys, agility course and paddling pools. We have a play together, then a walk in the surrounding countryside. The dogs love playing in the grass and having a dip in the stream. We give mid morning snacks of biscuits, carrot and apple, then a wash and dry before heading home for lunch.

Dogs for a walk only will be dropped at your home. Dogs for the day or staying will return home with us for lunch. In the afternoon we go back to the field for more fun!

At the end of the day, your dog will be returned to you happy and tired. Dogs staying will have dinner and settle down on the sofa for lots of cuddles. bedtime, they will have a treat and be tucked into bed.

We do like to spoil and pamper your dogs, as if they were our own. We want your dogs to have a great holiday, and we will send you lots of photos to put you at ease, so you can relax knowing your dog is in very safe hands.

What we ask of you

We ask that all dogs are neutered and up to date with their vaccinations. If you can please bring their record with you on your first visit. We don't do individual dog care, the dogs will be in a group of up to six during the day so we ask that your dog is happy to mix and be friendly with other dogs.

Of course we expect there to be a settling in period and we will do everything we can to make your dog feel happy and at ease at all times.

All new customers will be invited for a visit so that we can meet you and your dog and see how they settle in.
